saltwell park in gateshead is an award winning park it is often quiet during the week and some weekends except when there is something on so you have no worries of skateing into anyone.
It is a perfect place for a beginer to go due to this it is also good if you are learning to slide your board as it has slopes but nothing to big.there is also a flat strip at the top of the park which is good to do cross stepping on.
there are also toilet facilities on site so there is no need to go into the bushes.
to acess this park is very easy you can get on to 2 bus's from town next to the theater royal which are the number's 53&54
