My peter lynn pepper II and my girlfriends first flight!

So after getting bitten by the bug flying little 2 liners and then other peoples power kites i decided to buy my own little bundle of ripstop pleasure. I looked about online and after a few phone calls I found a 5 metre peter lynn pepper II from a guy called Ricardo at skymonster so i paid my money and waited.......and waited............................and waited - a whole day had passed and it still hadn't come! After getting a fitful nights sleep i awoke early and went on postie patrol. Then a knock, a signature and i'm tearing the parcel open!!!!
Inside was a nice black and red rucksack with peter lynn and pepper II written on it (guess this is my kite then) Inside the bag was a crispy purple, yellow and white kite, some lines on winders, an instruction booklet and a bright orange ground stake. Right so come on we're goin to the beach!
Off we went (my missus and I) to seaton sluice beach - tide=?  wind=??? set up the kite as per instructions -kilers on =check  - wind blowing=check   I tug on the handles and the purple beast tugs hard then swooshes skywards, i lean back to counteract the pull - wow this is better than i imagined!
I turn the kite left and i skid along the sand whooping as i go. I turn the kite right and...yeh you get the idea!. By this time i feel guilty for having so much fun on my own so I talk my missus into having a go.
Nervously she takes the handles off me in flight but i'm still holding them with her. A very breif intro later (including telling her to let go of the handles if it goes boobs up) and i take my hands off - whoop! ''thats it love'' before i know it shes whipped it through the power and been lifted off her feet -what do i do? garb my phone and video it? - no    shout helpful advice?- no .........i literally scream with laughter as she flys through the air, gets dragged on her face then back then face again and comes to a rest 200 metres down the beach! By the time i regained myself and got to her she was lying face down in the sand but she was laughing (as i was!) '' why didn't you let go like i told you?''her answer - '' I didn't want to break your new kite''  - bless her!
This has been such a great kite for me and it turned my head to peter lynn kites. I will never sell this kite even though i don't fly it as much as it deserves its just a lovely, predictable kite without too much lift - though i have had some great sessions dune jumping on this baby
sadly peter lynn stopped making this kite just after i bought it but if you get chance of buying one 2nd hand then snap it up - odds on it won't be mine though!
